Google’s Street View is being used by many for navigational purpose. But just recently it also became a source of entertainment for many internet fanatics. This is because of a man who became known as “horse boy”. Horse boy is a mystery man wearing a horse’s head, dark trousers and a purple shirt that had been notice to be standing by the wall in Google’s Street View in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Since then it became a popular issue and attracts the attention of many internet users. The mystery behind “horse boy” has made a lot of people interested in finding out the true identity of the said mystery man. There were emails sent to BBC claiming that he is “horse boy” or even saying that they know his true identity.
There were also several people sending images of “horse boy” to BBC and even claimed that they had a chance to meet “horse boy” in person and even exchange a few words with him. Many internet users have been sharing their own stories about “horse boy” such as they have seen them in other places shopping, playing the fairways and relaxing in bars. Others even spotted him strolling in a park and many other different stories.
While there are people who find the issue entertaining, there were some who do not. They were not even impressed and don’t find the issue about “horse boy” entertaining at all. Some even wrote or send emails to the website just to tell that “horse boy” is just waste of time and not a fascinating story to follow or talk about.
Some finds “horse boy” not a person but just a cheap mask and that there were a number of people wearing a similar mask in the Download Festival in Donington. There were also people who have seen “horse boy” featured in other parts of Google Street service.
We can say that the sighting of “horse boy” has become a phenomenon. As a proof, BBC news website story had reached more than 874,000 hits to a million. Whoever this “horse boy” is, whether he is a person or not, we cannot deny the fact that he had made the lives of many entertaining. Thanks to “horse boy”.
