Surely it is amazing to know that Brook House Immigration Removal Centre near Gatwick, West Sussex, England, a center that houses criminals waiting for deportation after being jailed for their crimes committed in UK is allowing PlayStation 1 and 2 for the entertainment of their people. Certainly there’s nothing harmful in this act since it is just something that prisoners can turn their attentions to instead of looking for troubles and fights.
Prisoners were also known to be very resourceful and are good hackers. With their time being used almost in nothing, they were able to come up with great and amazing ideas. Just like what happened recently in the said center, when an inmate wanted to offer tattoos to his inmates and was able to come up with a very creative device.
A tattoo gun which is in fact banned in UK lockups as well as in US had been found at one of the prisoner’s room during a routine checkup. The said inmate used the motor of a Play station One’s optical drive to move a sharpened ball-point pen to create tattoos. The device when switched on would move up and down like a genuine tattoo gun. But I doubt if his co inmates would trust him to have them tattooed using his innovative device.
A source even described the device as being a bit Heath Robinson or in British language is unnecessarily complex and implausible contraption. The source even said that a person should have courage and is brave enough to try this thing. The inmate however didn’t document ho he is doing the tattooing with his tattoo gun. It is not yet known if the inmate was offering other designs of tattoos or just Lara Croft and Crash Bandicoot designs.
The Border and Immigration Agency said that the device was seized along with a tattoo magazine to avoid further damages. A spokesman from the center said that there was no further action taken but staff have been made aware to avoid other similar accident from their 426 men in prison. Considering the fact that guard in US jails have found tattoo guns made from Nintendo consoles.
