We have featured several halloween costumes from babies to weird ones and geeky facebook wall pages. If you think you have seen the most creative and unique halloween outfit of all, perhaps after seeing this one you would be surprised. Just like us.
Have you imagined creating a lifesize iPhone complete with functional LCD screen? Probably, but you thought twice of creating it and showing it in public! For these two geeks, building an iPhone costume is art.
Meet John Savio and John Matthews. These two dudes started the first iPhone costume in 2007 with the help of other iPhone fanatics.
This all started two years ago Reko Rivera and Bobby Hartman created a wearable large iPhone costume with a real 37″ lcd tv. An iPod was attached with a looping video of a real iphones screen in normal use. This time with the help of John Savio and John Matthews the team created yet another amazing rendition of the new iPhone 3GS…The team has about $2000 into the two costumes and has no regrets!
You can read more of their story at macrumors forum. The two guys improved the design by having a realistic output on the display (without the looping video) coming from their onboard iPhone. They also installed 42” LCD screen (didn’t mentioned what brand), a car battery placed between their legs, creative iPhone logos to make it more authentic, and guts to model it in public. The whole package took them 3 solid weeks to finish, spent $2000 and a total burden of 85lbs (for each costume). But they didn’t seem grumpy at the weight of the package. Instead, you could see them laughing and having fun. Well, that’s the spirit.

If you’re wondering if the outfits are touchscreen enabled they are not. For now we second that it is indeed the Best Apple iPhone costume and Halloween outfit for this year … and also the Heaviest.
