To some who aren’t familiar with those names, they are just the co-founder of the biggest video-streaming website ever develop on the web – Youtube. And today is the 5th anniversary of the very 1st video ever uploaded to the said site. It was uploaded by Jawed Karim – entitled ‘Me at the zoo’.
According to wiki:
The first YouTube video was entitled Me at the zoo, and shows founder Jawed Karim at San Diego Zoo. The video was uploaded on April 23, 2005, and can still be viewed on the site.
So that makes it officially the 5th birthday of this historical vid.
Here’s the short 19 second clip.
While it isn’t the typical viral vid that you’re waiting for or a clip that will somehow make you go ‘gaga’– its history makes it somewhat special and nostalgic already.
On October, 2006 – Google acquired Youtube for 1.65 Billion and the rest was history. *Sight*
