Posted by As children, a lot of us admit to having watched “Sesame Street” and had many fun times with the show. We now bid goodbye to one of the stars of the show, Alaina Reed-Amini who died on December 17 in Santa Monica at 63 years old.

Alaina’s death was caused by breast cancer, as reported by Billy Laurence this Monday, December 21. She starred in many films and shows such as “Chicago”, “Hair”, “Cruel Intentions”, and “Ally McBeal”. She started in Sesame Street in 1976 as Olivia, the sister or Gordon. She was on the show until 1988. Another one of her memorable roles was in “227” where she played the main character’s best friend and confidant. In the finale, her character married a man played by her husband at the time, Kevin Peter Hall, who passed on in 1991. She was previously known as Alaina Reed Hall until she remarried in 2008 with Tamim Amini.
Her husband and her two children whom she had with Kevin Hall are still alive, and will have no services for the public. A celebration about her life is scheduled for 2010 though, so that we may all remember her life, mourn her loss, and hope that she passed on to a better place.
