A jury was assembled in Massachusetts in view of the 1986 shooting and death of the brother of a former University professor who is being accused in Alabama for killing three colleagues.
Amy Bishop ,the sister of Seth Bishop who died at the age of 18 after being shot by her sister in their home 24 years ago. After the interview with their parents, Amy told the investigators that she was just asking her brother on how to unload the bullets from their father’s shotgun when it accidentally goes off. It instantly killed her brother when the bullet landed on his chest. By then the case was officially discharge and the death was pronounced as accidental.
However authorities reopen the case and started to investigate again after Amy Bishop was arrested in February for a shooting accident at a biology faculty meeting at the University of Alabama-Huntsville and left three of her colleagues dead. Amy is then being scrutinized not just with the current shooting incident but also with the death of her brother.
The judge who presides on the case had heard from 19 witnesses which includes several police officers who worked in the case. The reports and documents will be undisclosed to the public until the case comes to a conclusion.
