Start an interesting trend of application in Facebook and definitely it will be a hit. Same goes true as when you commence a post concerning the Facebook users’ account security – they will start acting it on impulse.
Just recently, a hoax announcement spread acrooss some accounts in the popular social networking site saying:
“IMPORTANT No joke! Apparently multiple people have had a hacker. I tried this and yes he was listed on mine too. The way to find them is to go into your settings, privacy settings, block list, and in the “person” box, type “automation log.” If someone pops up, block them because it seems they’re the hacker. I had 3 names in my block list show up!!!!”
If you are a Facebooker and you happened to have received this message, you will definitely follow the instructions provided in order to protect your privacy and your account. But how accurate is this statement?
Apparently if you do exactly what the message says and search for “automation log”, your search will not provide you with lists of people who have hacked or accessed your Facebook account but those Facebookers who incidentally used the phrase “automation log” in their profiles. They might probably be those persons who are connected with Facebook’s Automation Lab. Beware of similar derivatives and always search for the credibility of the story.
