James Owen Sullivan, more commonly known as Jimmy Sullivan or “The Rev” and “The Reverend Tholomew Plague” was the drummer and back-up vocalist for the band Avenged Sevenfold. He was born on February 10, 1981.Avenged Sevenfold started out in Huntington Beach in 1999, and they won the Best New Artist award from the MTV VMAs in 2006. He was also part of other projects such as Pinkly Smooth, where he was the pianist and vocalist.

He was found dead at around 1p.m. in his beach home in Huntington on December 28, he was only 28 years old. The OC coroner’s Office is investigating the death of Jimmy Sullivan, but so far they have said that his death was probably by natural causes. Though, some fans say that his drug abuse could also be a factor in his death.

The rest of the band members of Avenged Sevenfold are mourning his death, and have not said anything yet of finding a new member. They were in the middle of making their fifth album when he passed away. He leaves behind his wife Leana MacFadden, also known as Leana Silver. Everyone wishes his family condolences and we hope Avenged Sevenfold will be able to recover as well.
