The latest episode of Saturday Night Live had been one of the talked of the town lately. The episode had posted the highest overnight rating in 18 months. Among the 25 markets the show got 5.1/20 share among viewers ages 18-24 highest after their November 1, 2008 episode which aired Ben Affleck as the host and Republican Presidential nominee John McCain also appeared with Tina Fey as Gov. Sarah Palin.
The episode is the special Mother’s Day tribute. It starred the comedian Betty White as the oldest host of SNL being 88 years old. White had been in the industry for almost six decades, White was still able to show how professional she was and game for almost anything. Her guesting started with a campaign in Facebook which it gathered half million supporters. White also appeared with other guests like musical star Jay-Z.
It was the funniest episode of the season, with White proving that she is forever young. The episode also reunites six former female Saturday Night Live cast members, most of whom are also mothers: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch.
And although White has no children of her own except for her golden retriever named Michaels, she was however able to justifies her Mother Day appearance by explaining that She’s the mother of all in comedy.
