Posted by Winning the latest season of Celebrity Apprentice had indeed catapulted Bret Michaels’ career into a new level. According to Access Hollywood Michaels along with NBC’s Today show anchor Natalie Morales will host the 2010 Miss Universe pageant slated on August 23, 2010.
The 59th Miss Universe Pageant will be held at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino at Las Vegas. The pageant will feature 80 beautiful women from different countries to vie for the title and compete on different categories such as the evening gown, swimsuit and Q&A. Rima Fakih, crowned as the Miss USA 2010, will be representing the United States. The new Miss Universe will be crowned by the 2009 winner Stefanie Fernandez of Venezuela.
Aside from these gorgeous young ladies, special performances from Australian singer/songwriter Orianthi and John Legend & The Roots will grace the evening. The most prestigious coronation night will be aired live from Las Vegas for two hours on NBC.
The front man of the band Poison isn’t the first Celebrity Apprentice contestant that will host the beauty pageant. Foremer Deal or No Deal case girl Claudia Jordan co-hosted the 2009 Miss Universe event along with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush. Hosting the upcoming pageant is just one of the long lists of appearances for Michaels. Although he had been diagnosed of Type I diabetes and suffered from a brain hemorrhage, he was able to miraculously recover completely.
After being named as the Celebrity Apprentice champion last May 23, Michaels had performed on other shows like the finale of the American Idol. He was even considered as one of the possible individual to replace Simon Cowell’s seat as judge for the next season of American Idol.
