Every time someone claims that a celebrity has died before their time, it is hard for us to believe that it is the truth. But now, we are forced to believe that a beloved actress of ours has truly passed on and left us here before her time.
Brittany Murphy was a young actress who had starred in many films such as Clueless, Sin City and Just Married. She was a very influential and talented actress, and was just 32 when she died. The news came in on Sunday morning, December 20 2009 that she had died. Due to the rumors spread that she had died in 2006, which she later proved to be wrong, most people didn’t heed the news. But after it was broadcast over proper news stations such as CNN and Fox News, everyone faced the reality.

A phone call to 911 was recorded at 8am from her husband’s home. She was found by her mother in the shower, her body lying unconscious. She could not be woken up, and was proclaimed dead after being examined by medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Murphy had just been fired from the production of a new movie called “The Caller”, after losing consciousness on set and her role was replaced with an actress from the movie “Twilight”, Rachelle Lefevre. A few of her other recent films also showed her losing her concentration and not being able to act well. Her death definitely came as a surprise to some, especially since she her alleged drug abuse had just been featured in a recent episode of Saturday Night Live.
Although the death seems to have been caused by cardiac arrest, but this does not necessarily mean that it was a heart attack. Some people suspect that it may have been caused by drug overdose, despite the fact that she had a heart condition. Others suspect that she had an eating disorder, seeing as she had been growing thinner and thinner recently. Her husband refuses to have an autopsy done on her, so the real details have not been found out yet. But an autopsy is expected to be carried out soon, since the death was not natural and needs to be investigated. So we will all be waiting to see what really happened to our beloved Brittany Murphy.
