All hopes for another shot on the NBA finals went out on Thursday for the top seeded Cleveland Cavaliers after the Boston Celtics team dominated them on Game 6 with score 94-85. The Celtics won the Eastern Conference semifinals with 4-2 series at Boston home court.
Kevin Garnett seems to regain his youthful vigor, had led his team to victory with a double-doublestanding of 22 points and 12 rebounds. KG and the Celtics team will fly to Orlando for the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday. Garnett wasn’t looked surprised either on his current performance saying, “I can honestly say each month I’ve gotten stronger”. He added that “ The playoffs come around, and it’s time to step it up a notch, and that’s all I’m trying to do”.
KG had also performed well in the previous game with 18 points to secure a victory on Game 5 at Cleveland. And even with the powerhouse combination of Shaquille O’ Neal and superstar Lebron James, the Celtics were just simply unstoppable.
On the other hand, the cavalier players who scored double figures tonight were Lebron James who scored 27 points, 19 rebs. and 10 assists, Mo Williams (22 points) and Shaquille O’Neal garnered 11 points. However, it wasn’t just enough to break the winning streak of the Celtics. After the game, James was seen talking with the Celtics player wishing them “Goodluck” (for the Eastern Finals) and saying, “Congratulations on winning this one. Lebron is also expected to become a free agent this summer.
