The CMA Music Festival “Country’s Night to Rock” held in Nashville, Tennessee was recounted on ABC, night of September 1st, 2010. Tim McGraw hosted the event.
The music festival was a four day event started last June 10 and concluded on the 13th of June. There were concerts packed with performers such as Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert. Other artists who also came were Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker. Other activities that were featured were autograph signing and family activities.
Taylor Swift who was much awaited also performed her new single “Mine” that will soon be released with her new album on October 25.
When nominations for the CMA awards were announced, Miranda Lambert leads the list with 9 nominations. She got nominations for the Entertainer of the Year award. “I didn’t even think I was eligible for nine categories,” according to Lambert after learning she was nominated for 9 awards. Come second with the most number of nominations is Lady Antebellum with 5 nominations. Zac Brown Band and Blake Shelton both got four nominations.
The CMA Awards 2010 will also air on ABC on November this year. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the event on November.
