Posted by Craig Ferguson is a television host, stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who has Scottish-American roots. Being the host of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, his late night show which airs on CBS is an Emmy Award-nominated, Peabody Award-winning late-night talk show.
Ferguson started his career in the UK by becoming a drummer boy for the rock band named “Exposure”. Then moved to a punk band called “The Bastards from Hell” which was later renowned as the “Dreamboys” where Peter Capaldi leads as vocalist. This is where Ferguson found his comic side crediting much of Capaldi’s influence. He then created a parody character named “Bing Hitler” which earned him recognition at the 1986 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and landed him different comic jobs.
He made his way to the US, by playing the character’s boss, Mr. Wick, on The Drew Carey Show, from 1996 to 2004. His character was known for funny methods of laying employees off. Other than that, he also entered the career of writing and directing.
In December 2004, he started his The Late Late Show and the coming years earned top ratings for CBS. Because of his widespread popularity, he became the national host to the Fourth of July festivities this year for the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular in Esplanade.
