Dani Jarque, Spanish football player who died of heart attack August of last year, still had his shares of fame at the FIFA World Cup. This happened when Andres Iniesta pulled off his jersey to show to everyone who was watching the game a shirt that has” Dani jarque seimpre con nosotros”, written on it. Iniesta took off his jersey after scoring in extra time for Spain which was the deciding goal in their 1-0 win over Netherlands.

Iniesta was given an automatic yellow for the said gesture. According to FIFA, any player who removes his shirt when celebrating a goal for whatever reason or sentiment he may have gets a yellow card. Iniesta received the punishment courteously but according to him, he had no regrets on pulling off his jersey to reveal a shirt that said: Dani Jarque, always with us in Spanish.

Iniesta said that he wanted to carry Danni Jarque with him and so did the other players and further thinks that what he did was the best tribute for the deceased Espanyol player. Iniesta further said that the deciding score he made for the team was “for Dani Jarque, for my family, for all of the people. It is the result of hard work over a long time and some difficult moments,”
