Andrew Christopher Brees, or more popularly known as Drew Brees, is a 31- year old American football quarterback who plays for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League.
During High School, Brees made 28-0-1 as a starting quarterback at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. While in college where he studied and graduated from Purdue University with an Industrial management degree, he was famed for his impressive achievement that included 11, 792 Big Ten Conference records in passing yards, 90 touchdown passes ,12693 total offensive yards , 1026completions , and 1678 attempts. In 1999, he was a Davey O’Brien Award finalist for the country’s best quarterback. In 2000, the Maxwell Award has been granted to Brees as the nation’s outstanding player and he also won the NCAA’s Today’s Top VIII Award as a member of the Class of 2001.
In addition to the already stated awards, Brees was also the Academic All-America Player of Year while in his senior years in Purdue that earned him national academic honors. Incidentally, this excellent quarterback was given the Leonard Wilson Award for unselfishness and dedication.
In his Professional years as a quarterback football player, he continues to receive acclamations for his prowess in playing. For four times Brees has been selected to the Pro Bowl, in 2004 with the Chargers, and in 2006, 2008 and 2009 with the Saints. The NFL also awarded him with the Comeback Player of the Year in 2004 and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2008.
His recent award aside from being the Super Bowl MVP in 2010 is being a new dad to his first son and child, Baylen. The new daddy and his son share the same date of birth. according to the recently-made father, his baby Baylen is a champ who does new tricks every day. As early as now, Baylen already has a teddy bear with an attached football.
The new father and son, together with the new mom Brittany are planning on a trip to Hawaii on February 8 for the Pro Bowl.
