It was yet another devastating lost to the sports world after the passing of Erica Blasberg, a well known golf player.
The 25 year old pro golfer had been found dead at her home in Las Vegas Suburb yesterday afternoon. The report said that 911 had received a call but didn’t mention why or from whom. The cause of death had not yet been determined by the Clark Country Nevada police and the case is still in the process of death investigation.
Blasberg had played her collegiate golf in Arizona 6 times in 2 years. She was two-time NCAA All-American and was even named Golf Weeks 2003 College Player of the year after finishing the season in rank 1. She was in the Curtis Cup team in 2004 where she got her pro. She wasn’t able to finish this season’s tour since she was just able to play last game in Tres Marias Mexico and finished in the 44th position.
LPGA spokesman David Higdon had expressed his grief and said that Blasberg was really a very popular player and was well liked that her loss really brought sadness to the golf fans.
Blasberg’s agent, Chase Callahan said that Erica had lived out her dream of playing professional golf on the highest level, which enables her to really help inspire others.
