New York-based news presenter Erica Hill will be leaving CNN in order to work for CBS full time. Hill, a news anchor for both CNN and CBS, holds reporting duties for Anderson Cooper 360 and The Early Show (Saturday Edition). Previous shows she’s also part of are ‘Prime News with Erica Hill’ which is part of the ‘Headline Prime’ primetime line up of CNN and TechLive for TechTV. Other than these, she has also provided numerous updates for breaking news. Notable mentions of news she has handled include, but are not limited to, are: updates on the 9/11 attacks when she was still with TechTV, on Hurricane Katrina and on the presidential campaigns for both 2004 and 2008. She has shown to be capable in presenting news in the field of current events, political issues and even technological breakthroughs.
A fairly new but recognizable face, Hill graduated summa cum laude for her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Boston University. She started her career with TechTV, going on air for the first time during the year 2001. Eventually she would move on to host TechLive in 2005 before taking on hosting duties for the shows she is currently handling.
Hill announced her transfer to CBS with Anderson Cooper on AC360. She has mentioned that her transfer is due to the availability of brand new opportunities for her career. The news presenter is expected to have a brand new set of hosting duties and presentations owing to her transfer. It should be due to be revealed in the following week. She made her farewell statement, thanking her CNN family and followers, hoping that they would still be able to collaborate in the future.
