Luge is one of the sports that are being played at the Winter Olympics and right now one casualty has been reported from the sports. The death of Nodar Kumaritashvili is by far the second from this certain ice sport the first one was way back 1964 which was the inauguration of Luge as an official Olympic sport. It’s sad that Nodar died at an early age of twenty one. I believe that he has a lot of dreams he still wants fulfilled.

It’s pretty obvious that this sport is very dangerous if you will watch a few videos on YouTube about Luge crashes and accidents you will see that almost everybody who involves themselves into this sports gets injured or hurt it’s rare that a luger gets to finish his lap without claiming a bruise or soar.

With all these facts right in front of us will the committee of the Olympics continue to make this sport as part of the succeeding Winter Games? Or will they realize the danger this sport has to offer and take it out permanently as an official Olympic sports? Luge was once just a recreational game that started in Switzerland but now it doesn’t look as fun as it was before especially now that we have seen people dying.
