Yesterday, we witnessed the “dramatic” press conference made by Sen. Mar Roxas when he withdrew his dream of becoming President to support Sen. Noynoy Aquino. Now, it’s Gov. Panlilio’s turn to share the “limelight”.
Gov. Ed Panlilio, current Pampanga governor, today announced that he is willing to “give up” his plans of running for President to support Noynoy, if the latter decide to run for presidency.
On the other hand, the Governor of pampanga is busy fighting his own demons back on his home town. At the moment, Among Ed is focusing all his attention on the “mess” circling the recounting of votes for 2007 Governor Elections. There were allegations that the counting was “fix” and some votes for Ms. Lilia Pineda, a former board member, were not counted.
If you remember, Gov. Panlilio only won the gubernatorial race by a “slim” lead, which makes it looked questionable. Among others candidates, “Among” Ed expressed his admiration to Senator Roxas’ withdrawal which he said was a “great love for the country”.
So I guess if all goes as planned, this would be the LAST time we will see Among Ed’s unforgettable face among Presidential aspirants. We will surely miss him.
