Heather Cox of NBC Sports is a well-known American sports commentator and a sideline reporter. Now a hot topic in the internet, Cox is labelled as “Sideline Hottie.” Cox made her career debut in NBC covering volleyball events at the Athens Olympics in 2004. During the 2008 Summer Olympics, Cox returned for her second Olympics coverage. She had reported successfully highlights of volleyball events for NBC.
Cox has contributed to the adrenaline rush of WNBA, NBA, ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC Sports as sideline reporter covering sports events such as college basketball and college football. Yet most of her reports are on volleyball events. At the University of the Pacific, she played volleyball and has been the captain of the team. She is considered a volleyball expert when she graduated in the University of the Pacific in 1992 with a degree in communications. In 1994, she was assigned as analyst of men’s and women’s NCAA Volleyball Championship on ESPN. In 2000, she was columnist of Pac-10 Conference and weekly writes a column of national volleyball.
In 1995, she worked as ABC Sports’ reporter. She has covered college football, NBA, NCAA basketball, WNBA and professional volleyball. She was also an analyst of NCAA women’s basketball for ABC. Cox had also worked for CBS Sports. She covered the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament, road racing and road cross. She also served as an analyst for women’s college basketball in CBS.
