As shocking as it may seem, the Material Mama once again hits the headlines as a renewed interest in the woman behind the music. Recently, Madonna performed lived in a musical fund raising activity for the benefit of the Haiti Earthquake victims ‘Hope for Haiti’. She sang one of her hits songs, the soulful and moving ‘Like a Prayer’. More than twenty years later, it seems that the pop icon still has her groove on and will be for as long as she can.
Owing to this recent public appearance, the question of just how old is Madonna has once again come to public attention. In the former years, rumours of her apparent youthfulness were speculated and discussion: some very far out as involving demonic rituals or even plastic surgery. The multi awarded singer is known to go with the flow of the times, but never losing herself in the process, and manages to reinvent herself each time; herself and fans alike referring to albums as the different images and phases in her life.Madonna is also seeing a man many years her junior in the person of the Brazilian model Jesus Luz. Her having a boyfriend this young is also viewed by many as an act of youthfulness and confidence as they share a gap of almost thirty years.

Do the math, she was born August 16, 1958. Yes. She is 51 years old, indeed. But as she has shown so, her age is definitely not something that’s going to slow her down anytime soon.
