Fox news has released the report that Jason Rodriguez, a former engineer working at Legion Place Office building in Orlando, started shooting everyone in the office then fled from the crime scene using his SUV. He killed 1 person and wounded 5 others.

The fired person opened fire
Jason Rodriguez worked as an engineer in the same office building but was released in June 2007 for performance issues. The firm performs transportation engineering work with the Florida Department of Transportation.
Now, a manhunt operation was launched by Florida authorities to seek the assailant, Jason Rodriguez. The public was requested to take caution from this man. “I would consider him armed and dangerous” said by Orlando police spokeswoman Barbara Jones.
No reports are released on the reason why Rodriguez shot former officemates. It could be related with his early work termination, or maybe not.
Update November 7, 2009:
“They left me to rot” were the exact words Jason Rodriguez, the 40 yr old who wantonly opened fire at his previous colleagues in Orlando, said to reporters after his arrest. There were no follow-up reports on the exact reason for the suspect’s shooting spree and if his former engineering firm was involved. Three (3) hours after the shootout, police authorities have cornered Rodriguez on his Mother’s home. Thankfully, the suspect surrendered without much resistance. This is a tragedy, no doubt about it, especially on the heels of the tragedy in Fort Hood that is on our minds,” Orlando Police Chief Val Demings said. “I’m just glad we don’t have any more fatalities or any more injuries than we currently have.
Let’s hope no similar maniac will follow Mr. Rodriguez’s stunt.
