Last Friday, August 20, 2010, the couple with family and close friends gathered in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hills Peninsula hotel for a baby shower. Travolta said that after several years of trying to have a baby, they have given up on the thought. But when Preston found out she is having a baby, they considered it as a miracle. He said in an interview, “This is a miracle, and we feel blessed and we are so moved by the generous outpouring of support and goodwill we’ve received from people all over the world.”
Earlier last August 8, 2010, a baby shower was held for Preston in their Los Angeles home. Forty of their closest friends came and bought lovely gifts for Preston and her new baby. During the party, each guest made their own baby bib and signed their names. The baby shower also featured a blue three-layered Dorie Kinney cake and Lady Liberty Catering and Event planning decorated the outdoor gathering.
Many believed that the new baby is a sign of healing after the couple have lost their eldest son Jett, 16, who died last January 2009. Jett suffered from a fatal seizure.
