An employee of Kraft Foods plant in Northeast Philadelphia, Yvonne Hiller, shot two of her female co-workers and critically injured another male co-employee, Thursday night, September 9, 2010. She is currently facing charges and under police custody.

Hiller, 43, was said to be suspended and was escorted outside the plant after the notice was made known to her on Thursday night. Around 8:30 P.M., about 10 minutes after Hiller was sent home, she returned with a gun and opened fire. She killed two female workers, LaTonya Brown and Tanya Wilson, both were single mothers. The third victim is Bryant Dalton who was brought to Jefferson University Hospital and is under intensive care. He was shot in the neck and his shoulders were wounded.
Kraft Foods Inc. has announced that the plant will close for the meantime. They also released a statement saying, “This is a sad day for the Kraft Foods family…Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families. The loss of a loved one is a great sorrow.” According to a representative, Hiller was suspended for disciplinary issues. She was always in argument with her co-workers and thus, it was decided to suspend her when she became restless and started cursing.
Hiller even called 911 after the shooting incident and a mechanic was able to alert the police.
