Already on the first month of the 2010, the country music group is already on their toes with lots of gigs to perform for. In addition, they will also be releasing a brand new single soon from their second album ‘Need You Now’ entitled ‘American Honey’ on January 26, 2010.
Lady Antebellum is composed of three members namely Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott. The group has been around since 2006, the year of their formation, and have been going strong ever since. The past year proved to be a year of bounty for the group as they received numerous honours for the music such as nominations at the CMT Music Awards and Grammys. They won Single of the year for their single ‘I Run to You’ and Vocal Group of the year at the County Music Association Awards. Their self-titled debut album is a certified platinum in the USA with their hits like ‘Love Don’t Live Here’, ‘Looking for a Good Time’ and ‘I Run to You’. All above mentioned songs have received acclaim, peaking at high positions on the music charts.
The group performed the national anthem during the Sugar Bowl held at New Orleans. In addition they also sang their popular hits for the crowd. They were also present during a New Year’s Eve concert in the French Quarter. They will also be performing at the 52nd Annual Grammys with other artists such as Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas , and Beyonce. It will be aired lived on January 31, 2010.
In addition to performing for this big event, Lady Antebellum is also nominated for the Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by Duo or Group by Vocals.
