New York Giants ex-linebacker, Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was indicted of third degree rape and sexual abuse by a grand jury in New York Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Taylor faces several counts of allegations of which are a third degree rape, third degree criminal sexual act, third degree sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and patronizing a prostitute. If convicted, Taylor will stay in prison for 4 years.

Taylor was arrested May 6 following allegations of a 16 years old girl being paid $300 for oral sex at a Holiday Inn in Rockland County. Taylor and his lawyers denied such allegations.
The girl said she was threatened verbally and physically before being brought by another individual to the hotel late at night of May 5. Her uncle has called the police after receiving texts from her niece that she was on trouble. The teenager returned to the Bronx afterwards with Rasheed Davis, her alleged pimp. NYPD had arrested Davis.
The girl had provided information on the hotel where Taylor was staying. She was then brought to the hospital for physical investigation. Taylor has previous charges in Ramapo Town Court but the indictment was transferred to Rockland County where he is scheduled to appear on July 13.
