In a series of gun shots, Malik Hasan killed and wounded several people in the military processing center. Hasan himself suffered gun shot wounds but was not fatal (a contradiction to other reports that the gunman was killed).

Check this video interview on what reports consider “the worst mass killing in US military base”.

Gunman’s motives?

The solid evidence as to why Maj. Hasan resorted to this bloody outrage is yet to be unfolded. But recent interviews and research on Maj. Hasan’s profile and relatives shed some light on this bloodshed. The 39 yr old Malik Hasan, previously worked at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center to pursue his career in psychiatry.

Even as an intern, Hasan seemed to have “trouble working with patients and needs supervision”, said Dr. Thomas Greiger, Hasan’s supervisor at Walter Reeds. His relatives added some things that could attributed to Maj. Hasan’s disturbing behavior.

1. Maj. Hasan wanted to be discharged from the military because of “harassments” he heard to muslims in connection with 9-11 terrorist attack.

2. Maj. Hasan was “mortified by the idea of having to deploy” (his Uncle Noel Hasan said to reporters) to Iraq and Afghanistan since as a Psychiatrist, Major Hasan had heard numerous terrible stories from soldiers in the front line.

The above statements and evidences signified that there could be a deeper reason as to Why Major Malik Hasan did this terrible shootings to his comrades. There are many angles, military investigators are looking in this mass killing – Hasan’s apartment was already raided for evidences that may have contributed to this massacre. Did he suffer any mental disorder/illness? Is he under stress when he committed the killings? Is Major Hasan crazy or did he shoot those people with a clear mind?

Major Malik Nadal Hasan is currently confined in a secured Hospital facility and will be apprehended and questioned once he’s released. For sure, no one can bring those people he killed but at the very least everyone hopes that justice will be served.

  2. Ignorance says:

It is extremely sad to think that the actions of a few soldiers harassing that man may have led to so many deaths of people that had no involvement in those issues. Does the way this unfolded sound like Columbine to anyone else? The people responsible for harassing that man are partly responsible for that shooting. Regardless of whether he may or may not have had issues prior to the shooting. The man was a U.S. citizen and people still treated him like the enemy, there are so many stupid people in this country. Regardless what he did was unbelievably terrible and many innocent people died because of the harassment cause by a few. If your really want to find the cause of this shooting, or many of the other shootings like this one in history you may want to look at that group of idiots that you have seen throughout your life ( or that you possibly belong to.) The one that always bullies the outsiders. Those are the ones that are responsible here. I'm not really sure why im even posting this though, the people that need to read and understand this will never read unless they have too. While those of you that are reading this already know this, and why issues like this continue to happen.

I guess your handle says it all….you are truly ignorant. Using your line of logic, every time I get called a racist, bigot or am harrassed by leftists like you on Huffington, then I would be justified in doing anything I want, all becasue of a few bullies.
