The referee has stopped the fight with 55 seconds left of round 12 since Miguel Cotto wasn’t retaliating anymore with Manny Pacquaiao’s punch combinations. Manny clearly dominated all rounds on this fight dubbed as “Firepower: Pacquaio vs. Cotto”. Miguel Cotto didn’t have the chance to go away with Manny’s punch combinations enduring several rounds of bloodied face and scampering away everytime Pacquiao attacks.
Michael Buffer announced a TKO win for Manny Pacquiao and the new WBO Welterweight champion – his record breaking 7th belt victory. Reports said that Manny Pacquiao’s confidence was very evident on every round. Manny Pacquiao even waived at Miguel Cotto to “box with him” as the latter was “bicycling” away from the pound for pound king.
This is indeed a great victory for all Filipinos along with other undercard Filipino fighters who won on their respective bouts. Who’s next in line? We hope Floyd Jr. watched this match. It’s time for him to step up to the plate and prove if he’s the number 1 fighter he says he is. Congratulations again Pacman!

Miguel Cotto lost to the Pacman simply because he was out boxed, out sprinted and outwitted from the start until it was stopped by the referee. Manny simply did his boxing brilliance, a clear demonstration of his superior skills in the sweet science of boxing. Cotto was undeniably a good prize fighter….but not good enough to dethrone the pacman's superior instincts motivated by his desire to make the 92million Filipinos proud.
My unsolicited advice to Floyd: prove your worth against Miguel Cotto, if you succeed, train doubly hard before you face Manny Pacquiao, or face even a worse result the Firepower episode gave the world.

Mayweather does not need to fight Manny. Manny is the best and would throttle Mayweather. Mayweather continues to punk out and not fight. That act in itself is behavior not fitting a crown of the "best pound for pound fighter"..
A fighter scared of getting beat. I guess that says it all about whose the best.
