Osmond’s publicist gave a statement to the press that Marie’s family is devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of Michael. For now, what they are asking everyone is respect for privacy during this difficult time of mourning. Donny Osmond, is also asking for prayer for his sister Marie and her family.
Michael Blosil, is one of Osmond’s eight children. Two years ago, November 2007 Michael has been rehabilitated and was treated when he was 16 although the issue has never been disclosed before. Osmond and Michael’s father, Brian Blosil, announced in March 2007 that they were divorcing after nearly 21 years of marriage. Osmond and Blosil had two biological children together and adopted five others, including Michael. Brian Blosil also adopted Osmond’s child from her first marriage.
An autopsy will be performed and toxicology tests will be taken. ”Donny & Marie” show at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas has been canceled because of the incident.
