Posted by Mary Kay Letourneau, the infamous teacher who became a household name after he pleaded guilty to statutory rape for having intimate relations with her then thirteen-year-old student Vili Fualaau.
Letorneau met Fualaau when he was part of her second grade class at Shorewood Elementary School in Burien, Washington. He again became his student when he taught a sixth grade class in the same school. They had a relationship and at the age of 35, was impregnated by Fualaau. She was arrested, convicted and imprisoned of statutory rape. After Letorneau’s release in 2004 and after the no-contact order was released, they were married at the Columbia winery. Letorneau and Fualaau lives a quiet life until now. She is again the center of publicity.
She will be one of the first guests of William Shatner in Bio Channel’s new series “Aftermath With William Shatner”. In this series, Shatner will take an in-depth look at the effect of the transformation of people from ordinary citizens to household names. “Aftermath” takes viewers to relive famous American news events as Shatner gets exclusive access to heroes, villains, perpetrators, victims, family members and law enforcement officials in order to separate fact from fiction. The premire will be shown on August 2.
