Posted by Miss Beverly Hills 2010 Lauren Ashley is in support of traditional nuptials thereby opposing same sex marriage.
In an interview, Ashley says that according to The Bible marriage is between a man and a woman. She goes for a line in Bible that says ‘If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them.’
Ashley believes that the Bible is pretty black and white and it clearly implies same sex marriage is not in accordance with the divine law. Prior to Ashley’s public disclosure about the issue, Former Miss California Carrie Prejean already expressed her objection to same-sex marriage.
Ashley will be representing Beverly Hills in the Miss California pageant in November. Ashley denied that she’s just replicating the views of Prejean to bring home the crown. According to her, that isn’t the real issue to be addressed. She even has a lot of friends that are gay with different views. She added that different views can be shared. And no one is against anyone just like her.
