No CLASSES until Saturday on NCR and other affected areas

The news update is allover TV and radio media. In case you missed it, this is the latest update on Class suspension due to typhoon Ondoy. The Department of Education (DepED) secretary Jesli Lapuz announced that pre-school, Elementary and Highschool classes (public and private) will remain suspended until Friday(October 2). Areas included are Metro Manila (NCR), whole province of Cavite, Cainta (Rizal) and Sta. Rosa Laguna.

On the other hand, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chair Emmanuel Angeles announced that Tertiary levels in Metro Manila (NCR), CALABARZON, Mimaropa and some areas in Central Luzon will remain suspended until Saturday (October 3).

Both DepED and CHED have jointly decided to suspend classes in ALL levels since some Universities and Colleges will be used as a relief and evacuation centers. Medicine and Nursing students are also encourage to take part in the clean up operations.
