Smart Balance is a free online tool helpful in solving and checking chemical equations. It will save you alot of time especially when dealing with large quantity of chemical equations. Please see below images to quide you on how to use the Smart Balance.

Here is a captured image of the Smart Balance tool. It is quite easy and simple to use. Here’s how:

1) ENTER the unbalanced equation on the space provided like this:

Notice that we entered the equation as H2 + O2 = H2O. You can also enter it as “H2+O2=H2O” and will give same results.

2) Check your equations such that the First letter of the element is CAPITAL and the Second letter is small. Example: Zn, Cl and Al cannot be written as ZN, CL and AL respectively. This will produce errors in the result.

3) Press the Balance! tab to see the Balanced chemical equations on the view area.

4) You can enter other equations succeedingly or clear all results by pressing the Clear tab button. Then, re-enter your equation again.
