Paul Warren Pardus, a 50 year old man entered John Hopkins Hospital on Thursday with a handgun and never left. After receiving terrible news about his mother, Jean Davis, Pardus was extremely distraught. He believed that Dr. David Cohen, his mother’s surgeon was to blame.

Paul Pardus who told the hospital staff that his name was Warren Davis not only killed himself, but also shot his own mother and Dr. Cohen upon receiving the bad news about his mother’s condition. Staff at John Hopkins Hospital heard the gun man yelling “You ruined my mother!”. Jean Davis became paralyzed during surgery.
After a four-hour stand off a robot with a camera was sent into the room. This is how the dead bodies were found. Fortunately, Dr. David Cohen survived the gunshot. He was shot in the abdomen and is currently in stable position. He is married to a nurse that is also employed at John Hopkins and they have two children. Jean Davis died of a gunshot wound to the back of her neck while Paul Warren Pardus died with a gunshot through his mouth.
There has been much speculation about how a handgun was so easily brought onto hospital grounds. Like most hospitals in the United States John Hopkins does not have a metal detector. Supposedly such security measures are close to impossibility with the amount of foot traffic that hospitals get.
