But this technology is being used to spread nasty rumors just like what happened to Ronnie James Dio, a legendary heavy metal singer who was said to be already dead. The social networking site Twitter had started the rumor early Sunday with the posts God Father of Metal’ Ronnie James Dio, who performed with ‘Elf,’ ‘Rainbow’, ‘Black Sabbath’, ‘Heaven & Hell’, and his own band ‘Dio’, is supposed to have died. But thankfully through WireUpdate.com, the site had dispersed the said rumors and confirmed that Dio is not dead. His manger-wife also released a statement saying that his husband is alive, and in good condition.
The issue started through the Wikipedia site when a user named “sniper” changed the biography of Dio and wrote the news of his death. Although Dio had been diagnosed with stomach cancer last November he is still fighting and is in good condition. He is even planning for a tour this summer to give gratitude to his every supporting fans. Unfortunately, he needed cancel it because he had been admitted to the hospital.
Ronnie Dio is well known for his contributions with bands like Black Sabbath, Rainbow and the eponymous.
