It is official: All six action-packed Star War movies will be available on Blu-Ray in 2011, and with lots of extra features to boot! Lucasfilm announced that the highly famous saga will be presented in high-definition packaged media to the public during this week’s Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando, Florida.

Celebration V is a 4-day event for fans celebrating all things Star Wars. It commemorates the 30th anniversary of “The Empire Strikes Back” along with the currently televised adventures of the animated series, and anticipates all future projects for these greatly loved classics. The event opened on August 12, and will end today, August 15 and is being held at the Orange County Cenvention Center in Orlando, Florida. With tickets selling from $35 to $750, this Star Wars fan-magnet boasts of appearances of cast and crew celebrities, music, costumes, autographs, collectibles, panels and live entertainment… Everything for the Skywalker nation!
For all of those who have been living under a rock for the past century, Star Wars is a film series conceived by George Lucas in 1977. The first film, A New Hope, was released on May 25, 1977, followed by The empire Strikes Back (1980), Return of the Jedi (1983), The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002), and Revenge of the Sith (2005). All six films collectively garnered 22 Academy Awards Nominations, out of which they won 7.
