Posted by The big night has finally come to a close. Ms. Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez is proclaimed as the new Miss Universe 2009. It was a grueling competition and all 15 semi finalists gave their very best. Billy Bush and Claudia Jordan hosted the evening.

Let us have a recap of what transpired tonight. FYI, there were only 83 candidates joined the evening. Ms. Turks and Caicos Jewel Selver withdrew last Aug. 22, 2009 because of dehydration.
What a night it was!
The gorgeous 15 candidates ramped-up the stage of the Imperial Ballroom to start the evening’s competition.
They are (in no particular order):

Congratulations Ms. Stefania Fernandez! This is a 2 peat victory for Venezuela because last year’s Miss Universe title holder Dayana Mendoza was also from Venezuela.
