Posted by Figure Skating is one of the events scheduled on Sunday during the Vancouver Olympics. The Chinese pair of Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo placed first in the figure skating result and the Ukranian tandem Tatiana Andreëvna Volosozhar and Stanislav Morozov still made and created a buzz even though they only ranked at the ninth place.
The figure skating event is a popularly awaited and watched by viewers not only for the breathtaking routines and short programs made by the participants. The other thing that viewers anticipate is the sort of entertainment they get from the costumes and outfits that the athletes wear. In this area, Tatiana and Stanislav surely ranked first when they invaded the icy stage with matching electric blue body suits with silver piping.
This is basically similar to the outfit they wore during an international competition that was held in China a few weeks prior to the Olympic event. All the other women athletes sported an outfit in skirt but it was only Tatiana that abstained from any skirt-like costume. But setting attire-mockery aside, the Ukranian duo are still master athletes of figure skating. In 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010 they were the Ukranian national champion for the same event.
In the 2006 Winter Olympics, they placed 12th. And ranked fourth at the 2007 World championships. All over the world, they ranked at 6th place as of January 2010.
