Everybody thought (even President Obama himself) that Kanye West overreacted when Taylor Swift won over his friend Beyonce in the previous MTV VMA awards. But after the incident of Taylor Swift singing off-key during the Grammy awards night, some people may think it was no wonder why Kanye had such violent reactions. This hullaballoo also has it that Stevie Knicks purportedly stooped so low in having played only as backup singer for Swift.
This Taylor Swift Grammy controversy was such intriguing news and is made even more colorful when Kelly Clarkson plunged into it recently. Obviously, Clarkson was affected and positively pissed off with the statement declared by Scott Borchetta (CEO of Big machine Records which features Taylor Swift in its label) in defense of Swift that the off-key performance is not like the American Idol which just produced high-pitched singers.
In Clarkson’s blog and open letter she stated her sentiments that American Idols like her not hit high notes but the right notes as well. She also added that it is understandable that some artist may sing out of note in some of their performances but Borchetta’s words to defend Swift was a lashing out at other artists who he thinks may lack real artistic quality. Simply put, Clarkson believes that Borchetta should have used other expressions instead of what he said that somewhat degraded the American Idol talents.
