Its been a while since we last heard about any updates for the Dell Vostro / Adamo series of laptops. In fact, it was last March when we saw the Dell Vostro 3000 along w/ Sandy Bridge CPU, with a tag price fitted for budgeted users.
As of today, CNET believes the company is going to refresh its two-year old Adamo brand, hinting its new-generation models would have a “faster and sleeker” attributes.
While its specific details aren’t fully revealed, it was stated the new Dell Adamo will have a 15.6-inch body, running Intel Sandy Bridge in Core i5 and Core i7 flavors; high resolution display, the “thinnest laptop of Dell”, and its price is miraculously tagged less than 10 benajmins!
Naturally, this move by the company will come out as a Macbook Air competitor. The only question is, are these new Adamo going to be revealed on the last quarter of this year? If that’s the case, then it may be an advantageous move for Dell since we all know Apple refreshes its Macbook Air on the same time-frame as well.
Likewise, if Dell continues to push this new venture, Adamo will be its first laptop to produce an “ultra-thin” and “ultra-fast” notebooks targeted for customers.
