Netbook1 thumb A first look on Nokia Booklet 3G

The Finnish company Nokia so far was well renowned as a leader on mobile communication devices. Little did we know this big guy is planning to take over the portable PC sector as well. Recently, Nokia and Microsoft entered a partnership allowing office documents to be viewed on variety of mobile phones. This is part of Microsoft’s strategy to have its office softwares “universally” available. You could read the rest of the report here.

On the phone side, Microsoft has shown the ability for Office 2010 documents to be displayed on a variety of mobile phones. So far, the only phones that have their own native versions of Office have been those running Microsoft’s Windows Mobile software.  (source: Cnet news)

We were surprised to hear Nokia is planning to unveil a portable laptop PC (NO way!). But sure enough this is for real. Nokia is still keeping mums about the complete specification of their Booklet (Nokia don’t prefer calling it Netbook), but according to some blog reports that by September, the mobile giant will announce its complete specification and pricing.

There is more than meets the eye

Many claimed that it would be similar to ordinary netbooks but Nokia refuses to agree. We understand, Nokia is trying to claim its own position in the laptop industry. The display has a high resolution that is way powerful than a regular Eee PC so far on this part Nokia Booklet 3G wins. For the rest, we could only speculate them right now especially its price point once it hits the market.

Stay tune for more updates.
