Just recently Acer America officially announced that they are coming out with a new line-up of entertainment-driven notebooks which apparently will offer advanced performance features including the latest in 3D Viewing Technology, Blu-ray and branded discrete graphics. This new notebook line-up was especially designed for consumers who want to get the best in multimedia and enjoy its mobility as well.
Acer will be coming out with the updated Acer Aspire AS5745, AS7745 and AS5742G notebooks series for its US customers. These three new notebooks will be bringing entertainment to a new dimension that may be enjoyed by its user anywhere, any time. Let us check out the specs of these three new notebook offerings from Acer.
First in line is the Acer Aspire AS5745. This notebook sports a 15.6-inch LED backlit LCD screen with a 1366×768 resolution. In addition to these features, the Acer Aspire AS5745 also comes with the following specs:

- Powered by the latest Intel Core™ i3, Core™ i5 and Core™ i7 processors
- NVIDIA 3D Vision
- NVIDIA Optimus Technology
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M DirectX 11 graphics
Next is the Aspire 5742G notebook which features an NVIDIA’s Optimus technology which will give way to an outstanding graphics performance without the need of sacrificing battery life. In addition to these features the Aspire 5742G also comes with the following specs:
- 15.6-inch high definition widescreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768
- 500GB hard drive
- Powered by the latest Intel Core™ i3, Core™ i5 and Core™ i7 processors
- NVIDIA 3D Vision
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M DirectX 11 graphics
And last, but not the least is the Aspire AS7745 which comes with 17.3-inch HD widescreen display with a resolution of 1600×900 pixels. In addition to this, the AS7745 also comes with the following specs:
- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics
- Powered by Intel Core i7 quad processors
- 500GB hard drive
- Supports for a second hard drive with up to 1 TB of storage capacity
- NVIDIA 3D Vision
- NVIDIA Optimus Technology
These upcoming notebooks will be available starting October and will be offered at starting prices of $749.99 for Aspire 5742G, $649.99 for the Aspire AS5745 and $799.99 for the AS7745.
