Just when you thought Acer has already taken a break from producing its Aspire One netbooks comes this welcoming surprise from the company depending if you are on the side of the green team.

Yesterday, a new leak coming from the blogosphere unearths this Acer Aspire one 522 device and the thing that makes it special is it would be the first Acer netbook going to harness the power of AMD Fusion technology, we first heard on that Aspire One Ferrari a couple months ago, which didn’t materialize.
As for its specifications, the Acer Aspire One 522 will be under a 10-inch form factor with an Amazonian green finish, it will be using an AMD C-50 ‘Ontario’ APU (Auxiliary power unit) which is quite new for this class. A 1GHz dual core processor, 2GB DD3 RAM, AMD Radeon 6250 GPU with DirectX 11 capability competent enough to unravel a screen display of 1280 x 720 resolution plus, a 500 GB Hard Drive for its storage capacity. Other goodies include, HDMI slot for a quick sync on your external media devices, integrated HD webcam, WiFi / Bluetooth support with a 6-cell battery expected to last for 6 hours; all of this running on AMD’s new Nile platform.
It’s now for sale on Thailand for 12, 829 baht (425 USD) and you can have it with a pre-installed Windows 7 starter kit. Release date still pending for USA and European countries.
