Well what do you know? It appears Acer has revealed another Aspire One netbook on its sleeves and for those who can’t recall, this unit resembles a similarity with its older brother, D255, the only difference is, its color would be on skygreen and it comes with specs that are a bit higher than the former.
Coming from the blogosphere, the Acer Aspire One E100 will be under a metallic sleek covering with a special rubber coating for added protection from external elements. As the source confirms, this netbook will be targeted for students and its specifications would be on the mid-end. It packs with a 10.1-inch LED backlit display w/ 1024 x 600 resolution. It’s said to be lightweight and very thin. On its core lies an Intel Atom type of processor whereas its RAM is set to 1GB DDR3, 250GB internal HD for its storage and it has an Acer Crystal Eye webcam. Other goodies include Bluetooth 2.1 / WiFi support, Ethernet / USB ports and it won’t have any optical drives (it’s a netbook remember?). Interestingly, it was said that it can run Windows 7 with some dual-porting to Android platform.
It’s confirmed this one will be first revealed on European countries without any further information if it will land on USA. Expect its release date to arrive this year.
