Hey ya’ll! Remember the leak that was the Acer Liquid Metal last October? As of the moment, the company is finally revealing that unit on today’s MWC event and our pundits managed to got an early impression towards it.
Right now, it’s confirmed this device would be called as Acer Liquid MT whereas it sports an 800MHz CPU in which its display is under a 3.6-inch capacitive screen packing with 800 x 480 resolution.
At first glance, you can actually see the smartphone is somewhat thin in its 13.55 mm sexiness. Meanwhile, it features out a slightly curved touchscreen and utilizes a stainless steel cover for its battery. Appearance set aside, MT can support WiFi / 3G (HSPA 14.4Mbps) and Bluetooth connectivity. Most importantly, it will be using Android 2.2 (Froyo) platform which is running on a Acer Liquid “skin” giving you that alluring liquid wallpaper you’re seeing on the picture.
Interestingly, this device supports “multiple lock screens” enabling users to play some media and check out your email without needing to unlock the phone and enter the app simultaneously. This is somewhat cool and gives you the impression that you are kind of doing a funny multitasking in some way.
Lastly, it will have a 5MP shooter camera and has full access to Android Market. It’s now already for sale here and its price depends on your local retailer / distributor.
