Bug reports can reveal several things including fresh and upcoming gadgets. Though the information may not mirror the final products, we could scoop a few details on what’s forthcoming just like the pair of Chrome OS-based gadgets we’ve discovered recently. The Acer ZGB netbook and a mysterious “Seaboard” tablet.

The Chrome-based Acer netbook is nothing new, at all. If you could remember, we’ve seen a similar device dubbed as “ZGA” (in a bug report, as well) but no actual netbook was launched after that. Thus, we’re assuming that it’s some sort of false alarm or perhaps the device was only intended for testing. And now, the alleged Chrome OS ZGB netbook may have replaced it. Currently, the Acer ZGB netbook is reported to have approximately 10-12inch display monitor with 1366 x 768 resolution, Intel Atom processor and HDMI port.
On the other hand, the elusive Seaboard tablet revealed some interesting bits and pieces about its innards. Based on the bug report, it will sport a Tegra 2 processor and touch screen display. Moreover, it was reported that it will have a “lid switch” and a physical keyboard – which may suggest that this is not a pure slab but rather a slider or a convertible tablet type. Aside from those, the Seaboard will also have a pair of USB ports and HDMI jack, as well.
No details about the launch date or price of these devices were detailed. But at the very least, now we have a clue of what’s coming before the end of this year. Stay tuned for more details and bug reports!
