I’m sure you have heard about last week’s Adobe Flash 10.2 update for your PC destined to bring some 3D goodness on your viewing experience. And if you happened to be that person who managed to take the update and your reactions were “meh”, we are proud to say to you that you aren’t alone. In fact, many people thought the Flash Player 10.2 upgrade was just a minor one.
Anyway, today is a new day as Adobe plans to reveal Flash Player 10.2 exclusively on Android Honeycomb first and expect its release date to come in the next “few weeks”. Again, the company is claiming many staggering features for this update like: Better performance, provides better battery life on your Android device; although the big dealbreaker here is, it would only be suitable for Android 3.0 devices in which majority of them (if not most of them) are tablets.
In addition to that, Adobe Air is now touted to be downloaded for 84 million times on smartphones and tablets whereas 200 million of those devices have already been ready for the cross-platform treatment of apps before the end of this year.
Good news Adobe! But as much as we want to become happy on your report, we always get a feeling that somehow, your update from Flash 10.00 to 10.1 on Android didn’t change a lot. C’mon, we want to feel some astronomical changes here just like what you’re pointing out on your brochures too, you know?
