I don’t know if you still haven’t distinguished the “style” of Adobe, trying to entice its dear users that every update for its Flash player sounds significant, well in fact, the situation comes as average or not even noticeable on desktop computers at all.
As expected, Adobe is trying to push again a new update which is the Adobe Flash Player 10.3 and it’s now in “beta stage”. Again, this is after they have revealed Adobe Flash Player 10.2 last month, in which up to this day, is still not available towards the public.
As usual, the company beefs-out its PR page about the features going to be included on this 10.3 like: new media measurement, acoustic echo cancellation, integration with browser privacy for local storage, auto-update notification for Mac OS and Native Control Panel.
Seriously? Haven’t we had these types of features before? For the love of geeks! Acoustic echo cancellation has been there for ages embedded on our motherboards. In fact, out of all the 5 features, the only thing that makes some sense is the auto-update for Mac OS, which is not really that significant since Windows users already have this for the past couple of months.
Here’s to say that expect any Adobe Flash updates to come out as something not relevant except when they start naming the update with non-decimal increments like “Flash Player 11″.
By the way, if you are interested, you can download the beta here.
