Uh-oh, we have another extraterrestrial problem again for Alienware M17x. Why the E.T? Lets just say, Dell seems to be on a ‘ninja-hiding move’ when one of its precious Alienware devices got on a problem. I for one have experienced tons of complaints from my local folks here on its Alienware M11x in both physical and software aspects.

As of today, some forumers from notebookreview claim that there’s a lag and issues for DPC as well as power problems making the GPU of some Alienware M17x units to consume too much resources. To make things even worse, those users who customized their M17x to the highest configuration (e.g: tweaked RAM, GPU units, etc.) are the ones who are affected the most. So far, the current situation is that Dell has already fixed the problem but it’s obvious that many aren’t contented and whatever fix that should be coming soon is still pending.
For the meantime, we suggest that you don’t overclock your laptop just to avoid this glitch. Basically, the issue is based about specific M17x parts consuming a lot of resources so this should lessen the load (theoretically).
Again, if you are experiencing many of these problems, we are still waiting for the reply of Dell. For the meantime, you can show the specific issue you are dealing with on the comment box below.
